Meet Summer Brinkworth!
Summer is our first ALS team member to be based out of our south west office. Summer is a Ballardong Whadjuk Nyungar yorga from Bunbury, and she has come on board as Administration Officer.
Summer has a extensive background in administration for a diverse range of organisations and sectors, from Federal Government and Job Active to the not-for-profit environmental management sector. Through this work she has a established a great connection with the community.
“I am so incredibly grateful to be working for such a positively impactful business. And of course, very excited to be working alongside my dad, Bill!”, says Summer.
Summer’s passion is story telling through art and graphic design and she has enormous skill in this area, which we know will also be of benefit to all of us at ALS. Her ability to communicate with a wide range of people will also assist us in the work we do with the community, industry and government organisations across Australia to facilitate positive environmental and cultural heritage outcomes.
“We are so glad that Summer has come on board.”, says Principal Owner/Director Bill Bennell. “One of our main business objectives at ALS is to provide employment and capacity building options for Aboriginal people and the fact that one of the first people we have been able to engage is Nyungar makes me very happy and proud.”
So if you pop into our south west office on Albert Street in Busselton, it’s likely that Summer’s smiling face and sunny disposition will greet you!
The team at ALS are so excited to have this dynamic young woman onboard.
