Welcome to the ALS Team, Bek Morrison!
We are excited to welcome Bek to our Heritage Team as our first Noongar Anthropologist.
Bek is a proud Bibbulmun, Yued and Goreng Noongar woman who grew up on Whadjuk Noongar boodja. She brings experience across research, community engagement, and Indigenous anthropology, with a strong focus on culturally informed practice.
She graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Anthropology and Sociology and Indigenous Knowledge, History and Heritage.
Bek is passionate about preserving and elevating global Indigenous cultures, strengthening cultural representation in mainstream society, and contributing to a future that is equitable, sustainable, and grounded in respect for all peoples and cultures.
